If you've ever owned a vehicle no doubt you been what's called upside down in your car. It's when you owe more that the vehicle is worth. Well Rick Sullivan, a mechanic from Clinton, Illinois, spent six months and $6,000 to bring this extraordinary concept to life. The inspiration struck him when he saw a Ford Ranger overturned in the snow. This sight sparked an idea: to create a vehicle that permanently looked like it was flipped over.

Building Process

  • Base Vehicle: The drivetrain of a '91 Ford Ranger.

  • Transformation: Stripping the Ranger's body and fitting an upside-down Ford F-150 body onto it.

This project required not just mechanical skills but also a creative vision, something that is often undervalued in the automotive world.

Community Reaction and Impact

The truck has become a local sensation, drawing attention and sparking conversations wherever it goes. Passersby are often initially confused, then delighted by the truck's design.

FLASHING ENGINE LIGHT

Is There a Difference Between a Flashing Engine Light and a Steady Engine Light?

long story short, a steady light is a warning; it means something is wrong or about to go wrong, but it's not an emergency. It could be as simple as a sensor replacement. In most cases, a blinking light is bad. It could be overheating or an oil pressure issue. If your check engine light is blinking, get to your trustworthy mechanic, your minor annoyance/concern just got elevated...

Can You Drive with Engine Light Blinking?

Please do NOT. You cannot keep driving the car. Pull over and call a tow. It often indicates a misfire and if you keep driving you will most likely cause irreversible damage to your vehicle. Please do yourself a favor and pull over if this ever happens to you.

Why is My Check Engine Light On?

One of the first things to look at is your gas cap it could simply be loose. Spark plugs, ignition wires, coils, your distributor cap, fuel injector, among other things could be some other reasons your light could be on.

Oil Change and Why it's Important.

Oil Change & Why it's Important.

Oil changes contribute to your car's effectiveness and cleanliness by helping remove any dirt that could build up from use in the engine. Unfortunately sludge can be a common development in cars, but not putting off your oil change also helps remove it. The longer you wait to change your oil can lead to your engine becoming too hot, if the heat doesn't cause a gasket to blow it could warp parts of your engine. Plus changing the oil in your car on time will help it get better gas mileage and is an investment that will help ensure the life in your engine lasts and that you will be driving your vehicle for years to come. Regularly scheduled oil changes are not a vehicle service you can ignore, otherwise, overtime old oil breaks down due to exposure to heat. This causes it to lose its viscosity and ability to lubricate the engine cylinder walls. Pass your vehicles' emissions tests and protect the environment by polluting less and getting your routinely oil changes.

3 Signs It's Time to Buy a New Car

Not sure if it's time to purchase a new car? Deciding whether or not to make this kind of purchase depends on a lot of factors; this includes your finances and the condition of your car. Unless it's a necessity, don't add any extra stress into your life. Think about cost, safety and connectivity. However, if you're spending more time with your mechanic and your repair bills are as close and as often as car payments, it might be a good time to upgrade! Keep reading to see if any of these signs apply to you, you may have to visit us soon :))

  1. Repairs are Occurring More Often Than Not

Occasional visits to your mechanic, especially on older vehicles and paying for needed repairs every now and then is reasonable. If these incidents and repairs are happening more frequently and becoming more costly and even worse, preventing the vehicle from being driven; It's time to get a new car.

  2. Vehicle No Longer Passes Emissions Tests.

A CLEAR sign your car needs a replacement is when it no longer passes environmental emissions tests. Older model cars don't have these "drive clean" technologies that make the emission better for the environment newer model cars have; and many of these tests are requires when motorists renew their license plate.

  3. You're Spending More Time & Money at the Gas Pump.

Fuel will be less efficient for those who drive car made in the 1990's than those driving a more recent year vehicle. Although you may not owe your car anymore, all those trips to the gas pump add up in terms of costs to operate the vehicle. If you find yourself at a gas station more than 2 times a week, you're spending too much money.
